[ISO Partners] Some libraries partner with or participate in the Illume system using alternate non-SHAREit ILL software like Alma or Relais.
- Libraries using ISO configured software may want to have 7 to 10 days as their Days to Respond as the software may not be able to send a "Will Supply/In Process" message to hold a request from Pending. Instead requests move directly from Lender > Pending to Shipped or Will not Supply. Additional recommendations coming soon in Best Practices for ISO Libraries.
- Public libraries requesting from Partner libraries may incur charges depending on consortial lending agreements. Fee-based libraries can be blocked from being automatically added as Lenders. More information available from our guide here: https://illumebc.ca/guides/ill-fees
- Please note that articles attached via Desktop Delivery will be delivered via an automatic email notice to the ISO Borrower library, or you can deliver the article outside of SHAREit.
- Sometimes "Shipped" messages sent by ISO libraries, such as via the Relais software, may go missing in-transit which can result in duplicate items arriving or a request going to Unfilled or Retry even though you receive the item. Libraries set-up for ISO communications with SHAREit include:
- Kwantlen Polytechnic University (BSKC) - Participating library with Relais.
- Simon Fraser University (BVAS) - No longer receiving new Lender requests via Relais ISO set-up as of May 1st 2026. Will re-open with Alma ISO integration as soon as possible.
- University of the Fraser Valley (BCLF) - Participating library with Relais.
- University of Victoria (BVIV) - Re-opened with ISO Alma integration with SHAREit on May 20th, 2026.
- University of British Columbia (BVAU) - No longer receiving new Lender requests via Relais ISO set-up as of April 13th, 2026. ISO status updates currently continue until further notice.
Retired ISO Libraries:
- British Columbia Institute of Technology (BBIT) - Retired Relais ISO set-up March 4th, 2026.
- Capilano University (BVAC) - Retired Relais ISO set-up April 13th, 2026.
- Royal Roads University (BRCZ) - Retired VDX ISO set-up May 1st, 2024.
- Thompson Rivers University (BKCC) - Retired Relais ISO set-up January 10th, 2025 (ISO messages for in-progress requests ongoing until 02/2025).
- Trinity Western University (BLTW) - No longer receiving new Lender requests via Relais ISO set-up as of May 1st 2026. ISO status updates currently continue until June 30th.
